Alpine Bank
In 1973, a small group of friends and associates opened Roaring Fork Bank in Carbondale, Colorado, with $250,000 in capital. That started a growth trajectory of 39 bank branches in 30 Colorado communities, creating what is now known as Alpine Bank. In 2023, Alpine celebrated 50 years in business, and over these five decades the bank’s total assets have grown to more than $6 billion. While this growth represents a lot of change, the founding principles of our organization have remained the same.
Community investment and volunteerism are at the heart of all we do. And even as our footprint now spans much of the state—from the Western Slope to the Front Range—the same core business and community practices that resonate in Delta also ring true in Denver, just as they do from Frisco to Fruita.
Customers love our size and streamlined structure. With it, we provide one-on-one service and make local lending decisions quickly. At Alpine Bank, banking is more than just a product or service, it’s a relationship.
Our employees are also our owners. Like you, social and environmental responsibility are important to us. Our commitment to the communities we serve is what drives us every day, and the Alpine Bank team gives generously of their time and talent.
Five fundamental values, identified over 50 years ago, remain our guideposts to this day: Independence, Community, Compassion, Integrity and Loyalty. In short, we’re still just people serving people—offering the kind of genuine care, connection and friendship you’d expect from a neighbor, because that’s exactly who we are.
Mission: To help our customers, employees, shareholders and community members achieve their dreams.
