Mid-Year Momentum: Investing in Our Community Together

By Derek Camunez, Lowry Business Alliance President

As we reach the halfway point of the year, there is exciting momentum building across the Lowry Business Alliance—from upcoming summer events and networking opportunities to new ways we can support one another.

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year. Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a business community. Every networking event, ribbon cutting, referral, volunteer effort, and conversation has helped strengthen the relationships that make the Lowry Business Alliance so valuable.

Summer is often viewed as a slower season for business, but I see it as one of our greatest opportunities. It’s a time when thousands of people are enjoying our parks, attending community events, dining outdoors, shopping locally, and exploring everything Lowry has to offer. Every one of those visitors is a potential customer for one of our members.

As business owners, we all understand that attracting new customers is important. But sometimes the most impactful thing we can do is support each other. Before making your next purchase, scheduling your next service, or recommending a professional to a friend, I encourage you to first look within the Lowry Business Alliance. Our members represent some of the finest businesses in our community, and every referral strengthens not just one business, but our entire local economy.

Supporting local businesses creates a ripple effect. Dollars spent locally are reinvested back into our neighborhoods through jobs, charitable giving, sponsorships, community events, and improvements that benefit everyone. When one local business succeeds, our entire community becomes stronger.
This summer also provides an opportunity to reconnect. Attend an LBA networking event. Introduce yourself to a member you haven’t met yet. Share another member’s social media post. Leave a positive online review after receiving great service. Invite a neighboring business owner to attend one of our meetings. These simple acts of support cost very little but often create meaningful and lasting relationships.

The Lowry Business Alliance continues to grow because of members like you who believe that collaboration is more powerful than competition. Together, we’re creating an environment where businesses can thrive while building a stronger sense of community throughout Lowry.
As we begin the second half of the year, I encourage each of you to remain optimistic, stay engaged, and continue looking for opportunities to lift one another up. Great communities don’t happen by accident—they’re built by people who choose to invest in each other every single day.

Thank you for your continued membership, your partnership, and your commitment to making Lowry one of the best places to live, work, and do business.
I hope to see you at one of our upcoming summer events!

Warm regards,
Derek Camunez
